Dr. Helmut Calabrese is a prolific music composer with decades of formal music training to his name. Having begun his musical education at age ten, Helmut went on to earn a Bachelor of Music in Composition from the University of the Arts and a Doctor of Philosophy in Composition from New York University. He furthered his mastery of composition with film scoring training under film professor and composer Michael Rendish from the Berkley College of Music. He founded his music publishing business, Calabrese Brothers Music Company, in 2003 and has traveled the globe composing orchestra and film music ever since.
Dr. Calabrese is a man of many talents with experience in every aspect of music composition. He has been a concert music composer since 1977, an orchestrator and arranger since 1980, a music publisher since 2003, and a television and film composer and copyist since 2006. With advanced knowledge of computer software such as Logic Pro, Dr. Calabrese is able to produce electronic soundtrack recordings and professionally engraved music manuscripts.
